    Km3’s 31’s,Lift,Sliders,rear ARB air locker,on board air, armor, hi shell
    So I bought a new ecm (reman.) online from a reputable ecm place cus toyota had a tsb in 1999 that said this new ecm would raise idle from 630 to 700 .....well im at 640......I disconected battery before install and plugged in ......Am I missing something?

    Just what Tach are you using to measure your RPM??

    Is it possible it is off 50 rpm ?

    620-640 in drive foot on brake, am i supposed to take it to the stealership after putting a new ecm? Do they have a magical wand im not aware of?

    When you disconnect the battery your Drive Cycle Readiness Monitors all reset. Give it a couple of drives for them to clear. Your idle can be funky until they do. If you have an OBDII scanner take a look at the I/M Readiness screen. It will show you which has passed and what is still incomplete. Once all is green, you should be back to normal idle and performance.

    If not, continue troubleshooting.

    The many I swapped where just plug and play.

    Some dealers might claim to have a magic wand .

    Have you talked to the ECM rebuilders of your issue things do go sideways at times

    There is usually a "calibration level" designation of some sort that accompanies PCM's. Does the one you purchased have the calibration for the idle increase... dont know. Usually the tech support people at the PCM sales are pretty good as they deal with this on a daily basis... will they take their PCM back in exchange for the correct calibration PCM if availible, I hope so.
