Time for hd dakars

 

meh... I’m just not there. I’d be venturing into the Offroad/overland area if I did that. Trying to keep my balance and just swap out for these 17 OR leafs then get some bed stiffeners.

I need tires soon which are always a fortune to buy so I’m trying to keep cost to a minimum until after new shoes

 

The logical solution would be to purchase me those HD Dakars and i'll do an even swap for the OEM ones. Everybody wins right?

1st Bn 2nd Marines and still in the reserves with 1st Bn 23rd Marines Wpns Co out of Austin

 

2005+ will fit to my knowledge.
Even some Tundra leafs would work.

Also since yall on the topic of leaf springs have any of yall heard of Frankenstein leaf pack with multiple tacoma/tundra leafs for 3 inch of lift?

Definitely not my tire! 95% highway use, 5% gravel and dirt, with the odd creek. Don't want or need mud!

 

Those look NASTYYYY once I jump up I'll get those too

 

And talk about road noise one of the guys I work with has a Jeep on 35 with those and I asked him what the road noises like he took me on the highway going 60 miles an hour and I couldn't hear the radio but he also didn't have doors on either

Did I mention no rubbing, no cutting, not even a heat gun? Fills the wheel wells, and maybe I get an MPG!

I was just trying to replace the Ironman with something comparable, and that would fit those FJ 17" wheels I scored. Ironman, not in that size. Falken Wildpeak in that size were the closest, and in my $$ range. Problem, no one had them. DT corporate guy through TW came up with this as an option for me. (see later note about my use of tires!) Then, I found a price on the Toyo at the Falken level, they matched it, so I moved up a notch in the size I needed!

Thanks man!! I am enjoying the new vibes. All the techs came out after it rolled out and ogled it! None had ever seen those wheels on a Taco, or anything (they had noticed)! And those springs? Not me - sorry not a bit of help.

 

BTW, I used those wheels...... Must have kept them too close to me in the garage!

 

Oh yeah - Toyo's quieter than the Ironman by a good margin! (Yes, I had my hearing aids in! )
