Play with a few different bikes, I love the look of a sportster but after about 10 minutes it was feeling a little cramped. There’s a lady here that is all of 5’2” and 100 lbs, she makes a heritage softail dance!

I sat on both the 883 and the 48 last weekend. The 883 was immediately too small and uncomfortable for me. The 48 with mid controls felt pretty good. I wish they had one with forward controls so I could see how that feels. Thanks for your input though. Not sure how long of a test ride I’ll be going on but I doubt it’ll be long enough to really get a feel if the bike will feel too cramped after 10+ minutes. I’ll be mostly using it to commute to and from work about 17 miles. (20-40 mins). So I definitely don’t want to get something that sucks to sit on.
They’ve definitely got a lot of bikes at the dealer both new and used. I’ll see what I can find and test out.

I’m not bashing the sporty, they have a great racing history! It’s like getting a handgun, the comfy ones you will want to shoot and the ones with too much kick or not enough grip keep the safe from moving.

I feel it. I’ll do some googling later tonight and this week before going back in. I’m not buying for at least another month anyway. I just want to get in to the dealer again and test ride what I can to find what’s right. Definitely don’t want to buy one and then end up hating it for one reason or another.

I want a v-rod. Almost bought one a couple years ago but work started going south so I held off. Now they cancelled it.

@Nopro what model of the Dynas you talkin about? I think the super glide is probably the closest to what I’d be lookin for.

I want the Night Rod in Charcoal Denim. It’s like matte dark gray. Very cool bike.

I had a super glide with forward controls. I’m about 6’ even and it’s just about right. The mid mounts give you better handling and you can add highway pegs up front to stretch out on longer runs. I swapped out to drag bars for aesthetics and more direct control. It’s pretty much a big twin jammed in a sportster frame. Handles about the same but a metric shitton more power. Loved that bike but got on a dual sport and I like jumping curbs more. The majority of the bikes in sons of anarchy are dynas, opie is the only one with forward controls but that’s because Ryan Hurst is 6’4”.
