I'm real gentle with the throttle. I think that's the main difference though I've had to mash it a couple times.

I tried being easy on the tundra.
It returned to me a whopping 18 mpg on the highway.

I pulled the transmission today and checked out the old clutch. It was missing fins and the flex plate has a huge groove in it.

Still wanna come over one night this week and help put it back in? @Speedytech7

I'm going slow and steady, MCM fab front long travel is on the horizon. I'm regrettably busy right now, work keeps me too tired to do anything else. I'm trying my hardest to remedy that situation though, I don't like to let work dictate my life, it should come second or later in my eyes. I've built two of these trucks now, so in an effort to not be bored with it I'm changing my style up a bit. Lots more interior comfort and utility mods this time. My bumpers and suspension are the next things on the list.

That's still better than most 4 and 6 cyl tacos here.

Alright guys so my buddies 4 runner with a manual has a 3k rpm redline like you floor it and it acts like its at speed limiter but its only at 3k and high idle but runs like a top otherwise

what could it be we replaced the iac, intake tube, maf, sparkplugs, coils, and wires, the timing is good it skipped a tooth and he did the timing belt on it

Sure I'm down. You buy a new flywheel? How deep is the groove, could bring it by the machine shop I work at and see about getting it blanchard ground.

I've seen their kit, looks badass.

I hope to maybe score a cheap little daily, that I'll enjoy, so I can improve the Tacomas interior comfort as well. I've modded so many cars and the only car I've ever modded the interior for was my Firebird.

With the exception of putting leather in the SO's 5.0, I've left every other cars interior untouched.
