I second the dyna recommendation. A Sportster will move, just not very well if you weigh over 170. It'll also not fit well if you're taller than 5'10".

If you haven't already, take the Sportster models for a test ride to make sure.

Test riding this weekend. I think they had a 48 special, which is supposed to be better for taller guys so I might try that one out as well.
Did a little looking at the Dynas last night as well and saw the local dealer had a handful of used ones so I’ll be checking them out too. They don’t list the price online though. I’m looking to stay under $10k though

 

My bike new had an MSRP in 2016 of $13k, most Dynas used are under $9k, most in the $7k-8k range. Mileage isn't important on Harleys, so don't count them out if they have over 10k miles.

Good morning, Maner. Is it equally crappy outside out there in Poolville? 40* and rainy here in the the metroplex. Good day to shut the shop doors, fire up the heater, and get some mini-projects done while Dust on the Bottle is playing .

 

Got part of the trailer cleaned off. Gonna get it in the shop this morning and get it it stripped. Checking Craigslist for custom wheels.

 

What size/lug pattern? I'll look around, too.

Sure. Send it over. I have some jobs that I have to let run in the background, so I can kill a little time poking around Craigslist .

 

I’m in no hurry. Bryan just dropped the Toytecs off to get rebuilt. I get rear shocks done before they are ready.
