So GRRM wasn't involved in writing our ECU code?

    That explains a lot.

More like Benioff and Weiss after they ran out of book material. I'm surprised there aren't dangling branches in that flow chart.

    LoL! Right on!

looks so complex.... maybe it’s not worth the time and effort to fool around with it? I bet many Toyota engineers wouldn’t even know.

there is a point where the incremental benefits no longer equal the incremental costs. Looks like with 2GR-FKS N/A motor we’ve reached that point.

The funny part is the flow path I posted yesterday.. hah. That's one tiny piece of the whole code. The flow path yesterday was just the code that selects when to turn injection on and off lol

Here is the actual flow path of the entire ecu..
Each little tiny white box has internal code and flow paths inside.

It's definitely worth the time and effort, because I'm confident we will be tuning these trucks and doing new cool things, higher horsepower builds, etc over the next 10+ years.

I hope upon hope that every BIT of code that artificially restricts torque from idle to ~1500 can be eliminated (if there is such a thing in this ECU).

Is it too late to request that the bit of code that is keeping my headlights on even in the daylight when the switch is set to automatic mode to be changed?

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity of the daylight sensor? I think that is in the Head Unit settings somewhere?

If they stay on at the lowest sensitivity, you can use a piece of tape partially covering the sensor and then increase the sensitivity to suit.
