Frick, 37s have been haunting me. Besides clearancing, what are you doing for them? Keeping stock battery location?

Anybody rally ol greyback from cave junction or to happy camp ca lately? Got a drive coming up and that’s my preferred route. How’s it looking?

(Edit) I just realized most people watching this thread have no idea wtf I am even talking about. It’s 7+ hours north of what all you Bay Area people consider “NorCal”. No offense intended. We need a thread for “north NorCal”

most people when they say “NorCal” actually are talking about central California. Just sayin... prove me wrong....

Cave Junction is Oregon, I believe. NorCal is anything Monterey, and north. But, I have spent quite a bit of time in Eureka and Redding. But, go ahead, start a NorNorCal thread.

    Did. Thanks alameda.
If you knew NorCal you’d know what I’m talking about.
Quite a different world on the top of the state.

    Random story-

First trip I took my Taco on was to Siskiyou / Shasta / Weed, literally the weekend we got it.

Brother in law was in college in Siskiyou and we did a family trip and met the family a day late with a truck they didn’t know we got yet. They all drive BMW’s and Altima’s.

    Everyone- “Duuuuuude nice truck:blahblah:

My wife- “ Hey babe we wanna go to this swimming hole that’s down a back road.. can we take the truck? :)

Me (still babying my new to me truck) - :anonymous::bananadead: yeah... sure

Was really close to grabbing Don's 5 acres of land out in Siskiyou county a stone's throw from Hornbrook. Only reason I didn't pull the trigger, close to a 5.5 hour drive. Nope. Couldn't do it.

Shoot that drive is about two hours tops for me. I totally should have. I need a place to stay that way later in summer into fall.

    @Festus
There's a chico to Redding area thread. Not sure who's done that drive up here lately. If I have some other things done on my truck i would be down for that.
Have to replace clutch soon the throw out bearing is chirping away at me. Kinda good early warning signal for me to change it before its blamo!

I've fished Hat Creek, McCloud, Upper Sac, the Pitiful River, and Fall River. Hung out around Lake Almanor, and golfed in Mt Shasta. Most everyone in this thread has been up that way. Not sure what your point is, but it sounds as though you take offense to us south of Redding calling it NorCal. It's ok, though. You could organize a trip in your backyard. No doubt some of us would make the run.

I always figured anything above SLO is Northern California and then if you go East more, then you hit Central. Redding area can just be "The Far North."

Nope. Starbs. That would land him in my driveway... that’s okay. We can talk shop. Lots to go over with all the new Disney news released.
