They are making lots of noise now over any slow bump now, so time to address them

Now, as I previously mentioned, our first destination was the Colosseum Mine - high in the Clark Mountains - where we'd have lunch before dropping down the other side into Alaska Hills. However, as we neared the mountains, we were pretty sure that those plans were about to change.

Read all about it in Mojave Redemption - #2 - Should We Turn Around and Go Home?

getting my front suspension checked over at a local Meineke muffler/brake/suspension shop on monday, its all original and seems just fine to me but IDK these local roads are rougher than i can ever remember there are just so many they cannot possibly get them all fixed soon enough, no charge to do more than just look at them like the dealer did.
my neck seriously hurts 2 days after from the 1.5hr spent standing under a lift in heated garage repairing minor frame damage, was 0 dF outside for the past 5 days

apologies that i cannot be of much use or help with my very basic and simpleton #hardcoretacolife on the island oasis here...

:tumbleweed: I maybe in the Denver/Boulder/Loveland area soon picking up some baja fenders for somebody in Wichita

I say rebuild. My truck is lifted 1.75" and it has no issue with alignment. Its $600+ dollars saved. Just buy some new bushings and a new oem ball joint and call it good.

I replaced shocks where odometer was about 83,000 with KYB gas absorver shocks all around,
I don't feel any difference on the ride comparing with the Stock shocks
but front tires were uneven and the tech said because of the worn out OEM....KYB are ok,

Now the truck is about 91,000 or something like that .... last time i checked.... it does ride smooth , no complaints...
.... but got me PARANOIAC ...:annoyed:reading all these threads on tacomaworld about Spring Leafs saggy or flat or whatever:D....

.....some said that is just normal the way the OEM set about flat:confused:, that is why is smooth ride.....
..... I may not need anything just to keep enjoying the ride but certainly someone said that shocks should be change about 50,000 miles....
....so just planning the best course of action for a full set of shocks and leafs whenever I get to the point of the 120,000...
.... shit... plus TB , WP , Plug... I shit... I'm logging out... to much tacoma .....

    The points to think are
*keep stock high as much as possible,
    * then you don't mess with more work $ like brake lines , exhaust , welding, relocating, etc
    * better MPG closer to ground
*don't loss gravity center on ridiculous lifts
    * use michelin defenders next time so smooth ride on hwys.

Anyway... your tacomaworld web is awesome ... many ideas :spending:

@1997tacomav6 i have a spare set of OEM upper control arms I’d be willing to let go if you want a set to rebuild without taking your truck off the road to fix it

Got an extra set of LCAs for the same offer? I need to swap out my stock ones and install the Whiteline bushings I have.

Not for me since I don't have a garage or a press. I'd take the second set to my friends place with a press, fight with them with the bottle jack and hopefully not have to use the torch. Then press the new ones in and take them home.

THEN it's a short job to do the work in the street to just swap them.

nah u don't want narcotics they are gross and make u a fiending zombie.

Maybe if u had some cervical disc disease and u were in ur 60's I'd say yeah. Use some tiger balm, topical CBD, something like that and it'll help. That's muscular u don't need anything further than topicals and massaging
