    I love old Monteros! I agree with you about the V6...

    Is that actually yours in the picture? And are those 1st Gen Tundy or 2001-2004 Tacoma wheels?

    This was apparently photographed in LA, though it looks like it could be in a foreign country...

    And the license plates confirm that it was in fact photographed in California! The original article says it's a 1991 model...

    Did they randomly select your truck to be on the TW banner?

    One of those annoying Springfield Mitsubishi "One Dime Down" commercials came on the radio as I pulled into the parking lot at work this morning; It used to be approval for up $30,000 in credit, but it seems to have been reduced to $25,000; However, it is still "One Dime Down" and the minimum income for approval is $350 a week...

    $350 a week adds up to $1,400 a month, presumably before taxes, etc. In my opinion, nobody making that kind of money has any business taking out a loan on a $25K vehicle!

    As if it isn't bad enough that Springfield Mitsubishi is preying on low-income people, they also have this woman with an obnoxious (and presumably fake) Jersey accent narrating the commercials!

    :annoyed:

    @LocoLocal

    Kahn Souphanousinphone's minivan in King of the Hill more closely resembles this than a 1980s Toyota Van in my opinion, though Kahn's van is a much darker shade of blue...

    There's a ton of those Delica vans in Canada to the point where they just blend in at this point. Our import law allows for vehicles 15 years or older so we have had them around awhile. Insuring a RHD is more expensive here so now you'll see LHD stuff from places like Germany.

    Why would an RHD vehicle be any less safe than a LHD one? I'm jealous of you Canadians and your country because of your relatively lax import/export laws!

    @4x4Runner

    Do you ever regret trading in the WRX for the T4R? The WRX is a great vehicle, but I've always been more of a truck and SUV guy because I prefer riding up high; I drove plenty of non-WRX Imprezas when I worked at the detail shop and didn't think they were too low. Of course, I've also drove at least one 5th Gen T4R during my employment there as well, and loved it; That particular T4R was in relatively rough condition though...

    I do t regret it at all. I miss the intoxicating power and sound of the turbo but it wasn’t a car that suited me. I enjoyed driving it around but it couldn’t do what I wanted and enjoy doing so it had to go

    Many enticing non-truck deals have come my way over the years, but I just love the utility of having an open bed! I would, however, get rid of my Taco for T4R if the right one came along...

    I think the Frontier is about the only decent vehicle they still have, once it gets restyled then I'm not so sure.

    Frontier, Titan, Armada, NV, Leaf, 370z and GTR are all decent if you ask me.

    If I trusted the CVT an Altima AWD would be a great option to replace my Impreza.

    I miss my 2007 350Z.
    Great engine, mediocre chassis.
