be easier and safer to run a voltage output regulator. Can get them online ebay and the like one to step the voltage down from 24v back to 12 is the only thing that needs is is the light bar. Just make sure you get one rated for the correct amount of amps. If you need help picking one out you can pm or text me and I can help with it just need some details is all

Haha! I think there are laws against using electronic aids to help while hunting.

This is for "work", it will keep me from having to lug around a 40' extension ladder to check on roofers and HVAC guys work..

Thanks. I've pretty much decided to go with 3 deep cycle group 29 batteries. These are for a boat. 2 for the 24v trolling motor and one for starting the motor, navigation lights, fish finder, dometic fridge, aerator and pump for bait tank and some lights for docking or to see when catching a fish at night. I was wanting to put some off the stuff on one of the trolling motor batteries so I dont kill my battery to start the motor or more importantly the navigation light .

There are definitely laws against the use in pursuit of game. Great idea! I've always been a fan of work smarter, not harder.

Sounds like a pretty serious fishing set up. LMK if you make it back to the allegheny. I'd be interested in seeing a different area of it. I would not recommend coming up my way unless you have a jet prop though. It can be done, but you have to know the river. Lock 9, however seems to be great fishing. I think the Keystone connection fishing guide service uses that portion a lot for their work. I also have a great little river near me that is very secluded, but has great fish populations and diversity.

I will probably concentrate around Ford city but I do want to check the other locks out. I've fished locks 3, 5,6,8 and 9. Primarily will be fishing for flathead catfish and musky and carp basically I just want to catch big fis . Haha

Nice, yeah that won't work in the river near me. If you get to ford city, that is about 45 minutes so not that far. If you're into musky that other river i mentioned has a good population. It is hard to fish as you basically have to put a john boat or canoe in and float it to another place that has access. Right now is the best time for it. I have gone a couple times with no luck, but a friend goes every 2 weeks or so. He has netted 3 this year. The biggest was 43" i believe.

Really? I've been dieing to catch a musky. I have been out twice this year. I fished mahoning creek Christmas day. No luck. I live about an hour and a half from Ford city. I thought the 10-12 mpg I was getting before sucked. Towing the boat with the tacoma you can almost watch the needle drop. Haha

I hear the lower Susquehanna is great for musky, but I've never bothered. Don't have a setup for it.

I want to fish the susky but it's a bit of a drive for me. My aunt lives about 30min from where the pa state record flathead was caught last year.

I'm about 5 minutes from it. We usually just go out for Bass. Or the Penns Creek for trout.

I've never handled a large fish, let alone on with teeth. I'm also dying to have the opportunity. I got into fishing a few years ago, then got a second job and found TW. Needless to say I haven't fished the last couple years, but it is something i hope to get back into this year. I have musky above and a good northern hole below me. I just haven't had the time to fish them and figure them out at all. I can say my buddy uses a large rubber walleye lure to entice over 50% of what he catches. I used to have the link to it somewhere, but looked last year and couldn't find it.

    Time for 5.29's?

Haha I started musky fishing this summer. Now I'm broke. Musky stuff is pricey. I was going to say I have 5.29s but I have them in the 4runner. The truck has 4.88s i think I'm going to switch to a all terrain tire this year since i dont wheel the truck much anymore.

Yes it is, I haven't gone crazy with it yet. I have a shitty rod and reel. I have some cheaper baits and not that many to choose from. My friend stalks the marketplace and garage sales, and finds deals from time to time. I need to purchase a legit net for when i choose to go alone.

I thought you had 4.88's. How is the 4Runner coming along. I almost forgot about that.

Could anyone offer any advice/possible help with the neede bearing replacement? As far as taking it out and putting the ECGS bushing in. I didnt experience anything with my current setup, and maybe im just paranoid, but im planning on lifting more at some point in early spring, so its something im sure would be good to address, right?

I'd wait until you have to get in there or symptoms start to show, but that is just me.

Gotcha. Ive been referencing the ECGS thread as well, and that seems to be the consensus. I wasnt sure how much of a job it was.
