Every single driving scenario can be accomplished in second gear. Including reverse.

you were spot on!!!! Apparently you can’t have a 3 day old soft shelled taco covering the sensor on the dash. Goodness!!! Any chance we could add this to the OVTune FAQ?

For the record, I have not purchased a tune yet. Been waiting for the 2020 MT beta to get finished up. Been following, asking lots of questions, and learning. I appreciate my opinions/experiences being considered in the current developments. So thank you.

Here are some things I have noticed in my truck since the discussions here lately:

(This is long so if you don't fn care, skip it! Also remember, stock tune):

    DFCO/Engine braking:
Definitely changes significantly around ~1500 rpm in most gears. Feels like around there it just goes into coasting mode (bye bye engine braking) and starts fueling again I guess. Makes for a wonky slowing down experience in any gear especially being on the brakes, too. I noticed it felt weird soon after I got the truck and have since started to compensate for it.

Coming to a stop coasting down from 6th while on the brakes is something I do daily and it's noticeably weird. I often end up shifting into neutral way early to gain smooth control by using just the brakes.

The change in engine braking is even more noticeable coasting behind someone in traffic in 2nd gear...you're slowing down using only engine braking then suddenly you feel the truck tries to sustain it's speed on it's own when the rpms fall to around 1500.

That happens too soon in my opinion, and would be more useful and smooth to decelerate if it happened at a lower rpm....without letting the truck stall out or vibrate if that's possible. Of course I'm talking on relatively flat ground here. And I know this is currently being worked on, which is awesome!

First gear is a different animal. I don't spend a whole lot of time coasting in first, but at the times I do, the throttle response is sometimes a little weird.

I do really like how my truck will sustain a roll of about 2 mph in first without stalling (again on relatively flat ground). I can also damn near stop in first without stalling or any drama (down to about 2 mph). This would be even better if 1 mph was possible.

    Idle:
For the first time today I noticed my truck stumble on idle and it seemed like it would almost die for a second there, but it didn't. Then it was perfectly fine. Happened very quickly and it was over. This event was probably within 60 secs of starting the truck after going into the store for 5-10 mins (warm start).

Also, rev hang is pretty useless and a hinderance in gears 1, 2, and 3. Beyond that, in my normal driving I feel the amount of time it takes the revs to fall is just fine when upshifting from 4-5 and 5-6 (or even skipping 5 and going 4-6).

TLDR; Most of this was already talked about. Just bringing up my experiences with it. Maybe that helps or at least confirms my 2020 does these things as well.
