    I was pulling out of the Tacoma Screw in Kent this summer and looked left to pull into traffic. The bare ass i saw though the door to the ladybug in the parking lot froze my brain for about ten seconds until i figured out why i was seeing what i was seeing.

    very impressed with stock bumper strength. dummy superintendant backed in to the front of my truck in a silverado. bent my license plate. his bumper bent enough his tailgate wouldnt close after he yanked it open. ha! makes me want armor all the more.

    Hey Folks,

    Any advice?

    Truck's electrical started going haywire yesterday:

    - Outside temp malfunction
    - Trac control / LSD flashes on and off a few times

    Today:

    - Outside temp -> same
    - Trac control / LSD -> flashing more frequently
    - High beams turned on when I got home and would not shut off. Had to disconnect the battery.

    I'll keep the battery disconnected over night and check things in the morning. I'm worried if things seem normal, that it'll start acting up once on the road. Leaning heavily toward taking into a shop / Toyota of Seattle...

    shop if you can is best. self help. check battery cable health both positive and ground. look for water getting around electral locations. engine to cab wiring pass through for water wicking. look for the obvious signs but dealer or pro shop might be a wise choice.

    id say its a water issue at a major location. multiple functions going haywire would suggest that.

    2016 OR also. How far off was your outside temp? I had this happen recently I cant recall if it was reading higher or lower than it actually was, but it was significant enough that I stopped at the dealership since I was right there. Service tech said it was ok... I wasnt sold on that but it did seem to get itself right again in a day or two. No other issues other than the temp thing.

    Ouch. Mine (best I can recall) was about 25 off. And I think it was low too.

    Here are some threads on issues I was having that ended up being from a water leak. It was on the drivers side and the carpet padding wicked the water up to the main electrical connections behind the drivers side kick panel. I didn't have any of the same issues that you are describing. It's easy to verify or rule out a water leak, just check the padding under the carpet.
