Cant beat a good gumbo, or good soup for that matter. I'm not necessarily a split pea fan but boy can my wife make a good split pea soup. Loaded with tons of extras plus ham and it is yyyuuuummmmmmyyy. So is her chili. I gotta stop. Making myself hungry again.

Looks great! I did a similar setup and love it. Works perfectly for the RTT in summer. Having the crossbars attached to those rhino rack quick disconnect feet sure makes it simple to remove and haul something big.

 

Definitely! Someone sent me the write up and I’m glad because I’ve been wanting something for my snowboards as well as a tent in the future

 

Finally made a mount for the Maxtrax and mounted it to the Prinsu.

Since I have a sunroof and didn’t want to adjust any crossbars. I ended up taking a flat aluminum bar painted it black and drilled holes so I could use T-nuts to secure it to the crossbars.

I added foam insulation tape under the aluminum bar where it rests on the crossbars, that way if I adjust them down the road it won’t scratch up the crossbars and to minimize any rattles that may occur.

It’s probably a little overkill but it’s definitely stout and not going anywhere.

While I was at it I also added the Prinsu awning brackets.

Pelican case is going on the other side this weekend.

 

You don’t worry about the brake rotors getting warped when water hits them while they are hot? I know it rains and they get wet but pressure washing is different. The reason I ask is, several years ago when we came back from a long road trip, we went thru a car wash with undercarriage cleaning. The next day I noticed the front rotors were warped. I never had it happen before when driving in the rain. And it rains a lot where I live.
