Couldn’t find any wet or damp carpet on the driver’s side. Nor was the padding around the cab/engine seal wet. Didn’t see any obvious signs of leaking on either side of the seal either.

Currently, the dash is clear and the high beams are functioning properly.

Outside temp is still malf. though. Ugh.

I run it because you're supposed to, however, a lot of people don't.

You are required to run one on the front on your car, on the dash behind the windshield doesn't count. That said, I've pretty much never run one on any my cars ever and I've had good luck with not getting pulled over or ticketed for it.

Also check under the hood for any signs of rodent activity. Hopefully it's just something simple.

Yeah.... that’s not how it went down this afternoon. I will be picking up a 19mm gear wrench though, I thought I was gonna die of old age running that nut on top back down a quarter turn at a time with an end wrench.

I had a similar experience on my 2012. Dash panel lit up like Christmas and head lights going crazy.

I had Toyota do a full diagnostic read. My problem ended up being the alternator.

Toyota said the dash panel lighting up intermittently is their notification that the alternator is struggling.

Walked past 3 different Starbucks on my way to work near westlake, all of them were closed and had signs saying they won’t be open till 8am....

if there was shootings during the day, what makes you think someone’s going to get in a shootout at 5am?

I did recently install and AGM battery, which doesn't receive a complete charge from the 3rd gen alternators, but I didn't read anything that mentioned it could kill it either (could have missed that).

Most likely the city told them to fuck off until a set time so they could square away any kind of crime scene

I am guessing that the two "winners" that argued and then attempted to kill each other weren't able to aim properly.
If they really wanted to kill each other, it would only take one bullet...

Reading the news, the exaggerations of 40 bullets... seriously???!? The uninformed sheeple don't account for echos or stressed trauma in an environment.

Dollars to donuts, this was caught on video...

I've only gotten pulled over once for no front plate. It was when I was 16 driving a honda accord and he just let me go.

AGM shouldn't harm the alternator. You could have an auto parts store test the alternator and battery for free to rule those out.
