Just switched my headlight bulbs for LED bulbs, now there’s no high beam indicator on the dash?? Is this just the nature of the beast when switching to LEDs??

You need to have some resistance in the circuit. They make a short pigtail that has a resistor built in. Or, I made up a split one with two female plugs, one for the LED bulb, and the other for a standard bulb, which I stuck inside a little tomato juice can, and tucked it through a hole in the driver side inner fender to protect it, used these.https://www.amazon.com/Audak-Cerami...=1579700763&sprefix=H4+wiring,aps,184&sr=8-30 $7.99 vs about $20 for resistor.

This is one reason why I got a light bar, for idiots who drives around looking cool with hid/led. I enjoy lighting them up at night! LMFAO

What year is your truck? I assume you have the post 2000 style with the replaceable bulbs, vs. the sealed beam style...

Do a search for the “proper headlight upgrade” by the same guy, Crashnburn80.

Essentially new oem style housings, an upgraded wire harness and super bright bulbs. I noticed a decent improvement just with the wire harness and my same bulbs (new housings). 5e bulbs are hard to come by now, apparently...

If you find you need more light that that, you either just need to go with an HID retrofit (spendy), or get an LED (or other) light bar for the roof (tho not road legal). But for off roading, that's where you want your light anyway.

    Good luck and enjoy!
