    :duel::duel:
    Or when the old big tent broke because of high winds and not camping against hills at TDS last year
    Now the real question, do I get a tent with a sleeping pad or join the Overlanders and get a cheap RTT :rofl:
    Former mechanic was constantly trying to convince me to buy a plastic shield for the engine bay to keep out mud. I asked him if he really thought it would hold up to off-roading and dents from rocks, the look on his face :crazy:

    Funny enough both stories end with the tent getting tied to my truck to try and keep it from blowing over :facepalm:

    there’s also the last trip to Johnson where I said het lets go camp on the north side of the lake bed where no one can go fast and we don’t get dusted out then Devon get mad at me for accidentally dusting out camp :laugh:
    Or get a 4runner and sleep in the back like a king and never have to worry about setup or tear down :bananadance:

    In other news, I nearly just had my Superstition dreams crushed by a drunk driver nearly hitting me head on in the truck. How’s everyone else’s night going?

    Hahaha that’s probably what I’ll end up doing. Been meaning to get a small tent for easy setup and storage
    But I don’t fit in the 4Runner because I’m not short like you :boink:. Although that is one good reason why I like the 1st gen tundra access cabs, nice big bed :D
    Lovely. My new commute has made me realize how stupid people drive on the 405 during traffic hours

    You haven’t laid in the back of my 4runner? I’m pretty sure you fit well, especially if you go diagonally. I mean hell you slept in access cab taco for years. I’m sure a 4runner is less cramped

    I think I’d take the 405 over this. Its a lot easier to avoid the accident when the car isn’t headed straight at you from the front. I actually thought she was gonna get me

    2nd gen is a little better. Back seats are further forward because Toyota didn’t care about passenger comfort yet

    And I just realized the connection you just made, and yeah, it was a FUCKING SUBARU :annoyed::frusty::rant:

    Usually weekends seem to meld together trying to get things prepared for the trip.
