If you are on instagram, check out the "Overpriced Bourbon" account. Some guy set up a crowdsourced account to highlight liquor stores that have good pricing. (and shame those that dont)
    Worth a follow IMO.

So I pulled the trigger on Michters US1 Bourbon. Instant favorite now. I would buy again in a heart beat.

Great get! Bourye is a nice pour. Let us know your thoughts!

About the only thing I don't care for from High West is the Yippee Ki-Yay. Too much vermouth influence. Everything else, though? Awesome stuff. I'm a big fan of High West.

20th time...are you only counting since Thanksgiving or something?!?!?!

I love the cup, by the way ;).

What's everyone drinking tonight? I started with the left and finshed with the right.

I had loaned my Baker's 13 to the Whiskey Crusaders for them to do a review. They popped the top and had the first three pours out of it. I went over to Matt's house tonight to pick it up. He thanked me with some pours from his MASSIVE collection of whiskies (well over 2,000). @Misplaced Nebraskan has seen it. Here is what we sampled tonight (in addition to some more Baker's 13).

I did a little bit of organizing. This is pretty much everything, top shelf and bottom shelf. There are a few bottles out that I haven't moved to this room, am storing elsewhere for an occasion, or are in the kitchen for quick access, but I'd say this is a good 95%. The wife suggested to me to get a bigger cabinet. :D She doesn't drink the stuff, but she does like the display when I open the doors.

Top shelf in this section is scotch. The bottom shelf in this section will eventually be all Booker's, but for the time being, there is some Little Book and a few other good bottles.

The rest sits in the bottom section. I'm not crazy about this shelf. It has a bow in the middle. I would add a riser to be able to layer the bottles, but I think I'll get another cabinet before I mess with changing this thing up anymore. There are some good bottles down here that don't get to make show their presence. To the back right is the non-whiskey stuff. Absinthe, gin, a couple beers, tequila, rum, bitters, liqueurs, etc. Other than a nice rum, there isn't anything special in that part.

Probably somewhere around 100 bottles including the handful that aren't pictured? I was a little over that for a short bit, but started really getting some of them killed. I have plenty more on deck to get polished, so I don't expect this to grow much in the near term. Some turnover, but roughly the same size for a bit.

If you get a new display case you should tier the shelves so the the stuff in the back is higher than the stuff in the front to help show everything off. Very cool though. I always like to see people’s collections and more than that to know it’s actually consumed and not just for display. :)
