Alrighty y'all I need some input!
I have a plan to swap out my leaking, blown out, Toytec shocks. Ride quality is garbage, I need a temp fix. I found a guy on FB selling some 5100's for 100 bucks (3" spacers included if needed). My plan is to try and get the sway-a-way #650 springs off my Toytecs, that are verryyyy corroded. To then try and put those SAW springs on 5100's. From some videos I've watched it seems do-able, but hey that's why I am here.
I have a ARB bumper, and Apex sliders, so some added weight to consider, hence why I wanted to bring over the #650s
I am looking for a temporary solution, before saving up to get some kings down the road!

    Thanks in advance!

The billys will do fine but you need to make sure the springs will work with them. Also, whatever you do dont run the 3" spacer it will ride even worse than what you have now.

Where do you live that they have rusted out that bad?

The ones on my 2015 4Runner look like new. I installed them 6 months after buying it.

Honestly getting a new set of Eibach 620lb coils from Toytec would do the trick, even at 0 they still provide 1.6in stock, but with you’re added weight it should even out to stock height or a little taller. DONT USE THOSE 3in spacers, that’s what I just got rid of, I wouldn't wish my worst enemy the horrible ride I had to endure over the last 3 years of running big billet pucks front and rear...

OP...was the ride quality garbage before they started leaking?

What shock set did you have before the BOSS?

I used to live in Massachusetts. I purchased the truck in NH. The toytecs are at least 4 years old, weig over 60k on them, I'm assuming

Yeah, pretty darn stiff. Replaced the UCAs to the JBAs before they started leaking, fixed nothing

thanks. Yeah, I have the BOSS2.5s on my truck and there are days I like them and days I don’t and wish I’d have bought a better brand. Here in town with all the potholes and seams they aren’t floaty cloud like. But on a smooth highway at cruising speed they are nice.

Now I know I never rode on these toytecs brand new, but even the guy I bought them from wasn't very fond of them. Personally I'd never go the toytec route ever again.

So if I used the SAW springs that I have on the 5100s, would I still be about to get the lift I need to keep the truck level?

Looks like those coilovers you have use flat-ground coils top and bottom. 5100's use standard type coils with flat-ground top and a pigtail at the bottom. They're not interchangeable.

If there's a pigtail on the bottom of your current coils, you could be good to go, as long as the coils aren't too short. Some coilovers use shorter coils because of the adjuster at the top that pushes them down to add lift instead of up from the bottom. Otherwise you will need to use something else.

I'd suggest you call Toytec and ask them. They also offer a standard type strut so they would know if the coils would cross over.
