    Hi guys,

I was thinking of going to Mule Canyon next month, but I have heard that the trail is washed out/not suitable for a 2wd? Has anyone gone there recently? How is the trail?

Any other suggestions for an easy 2wd trail about 2 hours from Los Angeles? We have done Rowher Flats in Santa Clarita and Rainbow Basin already.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks!

I have never been up to Mule Canyon so I cant help you there...

With the snow in the mountains you are pretty limited. Usually people would point you to Cleghorn or Pilot Rock Truck Trail they both have easier fire roads you can stick to, but in this time of year you need 4WD. But once the conditions allow it you should definitely check those two trails out.

Hopefully some more people can chime in with some options that you can hit up sooner...

I've done Del Sur Ridge off the 14 freeway with my 2wd, fun and no problems.

edit: just googled the one youre talking about and it might be the same? or just a few miles away from where you went.
