Another time I was out on a date with an ex-girlfriend who had Aspergers like me. It was a nice night, but there was a storm coming in; However, the storm had not yet come in...

There was thunder and lightning in the distance, but it hadn't started raining yet or anything; It was one of those pleasant nights where I had the windows down and the A/C off. My GF started whining about how we should put the windows up because of the lightning; I told her it was fine and ignored her for several minutes because I wanted the windows down...

Out of the blue and without warning, my GF screamed at me to put the windows up "because of the lightning". She startled me so bad I almost crashed my truck! Just to shut her the hell up, I rolled up the windows; Even the A/C wasn't really needed that night, putting the windows made it warm in the truck, so on the A/C went...

As much as I relish having ice cold A/C in my truck on a hot day, one thing I hate as much as the A/C not working is being sealed inside a vehicle or dwelling when it's perfect outside!

My ex-GF was about four years younger than me (I was 24 and she was 19 when we met), but at times she acted like she was a decade younger than me, and that led to us breaking up.

People who cannot properly handle a stick shift on a hill! Hell, even a slight incline!

I was sitting behind a car (obviously manual) at red light, the light turned green, and the car rolled backwards into my truck on the slightest of inclines; The only reason I didn't chase the bastard down is because I got out of my truck and found no damage!

The send? Is that a term for the one-finger salute that I've never heard of?

Which, in a Tacoma, is normal acceleration and keeping up with traffic.

I think the first post summed up my peeves pretty well, I'd just like to add one more-
People who inch forward and slowly crawl at red lights. Bugs the crap out of me. Just pull up to the big white line and sit still until it turns green.

Blind lane changes with no turn signal.

Riding in CA with lane splitting this shit bugs the fuck out of me.

If I’m not mistaken, there’s no law on FL mandating the cyclist ride on the path and FL has a 3’ law. So, the cyclist is technically Well within the law for riding on the road way. Shot, if I were that person I’d do the same thing. People pulling out of driveways tent to not stop at those pathways and continue up to the roadway. Also, most pedestrian pathways have a speed limit of 15mph for cyclists for safety reasons.

Having rode a lot and being pressed by motorists. I have very little sympathy for entitled drivers.

    Just my pet peeve opinion.

That’s usually not the best COA. It’s startling and on two wheels it can result in the cyclist veering one way or another and god forbid it’s in the path of your truck.

Just give them room. They have every hour to the road as you do and there’s usually state laws that protect them.

I will say though, when they are two abreast and blocking the lane and can’t keep up with the speed limit. It’s frustrating.

When people “tailgate” motorcycles and pull up right behind motorcycles and manuals at lights and inclines. It’s a safety thing. I don’t like people on me when i ride, so I don’t do it to others when I drive.:bikewheelie:

Agreed. When I'm on my motorcycle, it makes me extremely nervous when I'm doing 40 or 50 and see nothing but a grille and headlights in my mirrors. People get insanely close to motorcycles without realizing how dangerous that is for the rider. 4,000 lbs hitting 500 lbs... who's going to get hurt there?

The people who do mindless stuff like that are usually inexperienced, ignorant, inattentive, or a combination of all those things. I believe most of them aren't doing it intentionally out of malice, but are just ignorant and unaware of the potentially deadly situation they could be creating.

People have no respect for the smallest things on the road or the biggest. Motorcycles and 18 wheelers. They pull out in front of them, turn in front of them, whatever. They think they can stop or maneuver like a regular vehicle.

It all comes down to sharing the road and being respectful.

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Around here the motorcycles ride the white hashed lines between lanes on the highway. At 80-90mph, passing cars. And Ive been told its perfectly legal in NC. I couldnt believe it when I found out about it. One lane change away from being killed. And there have been some bad wrecks...

If you’ve never rode on the back or actually “drove it” people would actually respect them. Tractor trailers are infamous for switching lanes right before me and right behind me. There was a wreck on 81 recently where 3 people died because a tractor trailer going north went across the big median and hit 2 cars head on. Lots more were injured. People that change lanes and cut people off and change lanes and get right on someone’s ass are ignorant.

It’s super illegal in VA(lane splitting) even if it was, I’d never do that. I’ll stay while rather than a sandwich
