Austin Area TW Chapter (all gens welcome, even T4Rs; heck, just make it a Toyota and we're good)

Hey ATX. I had a 2019 Tacoma that I had to sell recently but I have been a lurker here for a long time and chose all my mods based on information I found here. I don't normally post or comment here but now I have several Tacoma Parts that I want to sell and I'm not able to post them to the Buy/Sell because I haven't posted enough. I have Fuel Wheels and 31" tires and also brand new CBI Rock Sliders that have never been opened. I wouldn't be able to ship these items anyways so I am wondering how I can get the word out to the local Austin people so I can sell these locally. I'm not sure what the rules are for posting this here but I just thought I would see if I can post it here instead of trying to sell them on Craigslist.

 

There's a Facebook group too. We also lurk Craigslist, so that isn't too far a stretch.

Hola fellow Austinites. What is your favorite shop for alignments? I am LT and want someone who at least knows their way around some aftermarket components. Willing to drive.

My favorite is not a shop, it's a good tech. Hard to find one. Once you do, get their personal contact info and stick with em. My favorite tech worked at Sears lakeline and his name is Andrew. He moved on and never got his info. However, I can give you alignment numbers you'll need for your LT and any good tech can get you there.

Yeah that would be a great help as well. I’ve got a ballpark but any advice would help.

 

I use speedy align at oltorf and soco.

 

1. Caster to 3.5* +/- 0.5* (more is better)

2. Camber and Toe must be to factory spec as close to Zero as possible

3. Torque alignment cam bolts/nuts to 130ft#'s

Note: since you have LT, I would ask them to try and push caster more toward the 4* range while keeping Camber in spec.
