    @shakerhood

    I just found a yellow 2012 Hyundai Veloster listed for $3,995 at a buy here pay here lot in Jersey; The car is in decent shape but has almost 100K miles.

    By comparison, my truck that is two years older and has over 109K miles, is worth almost triple what the Hyundai is worth; The Veloster really does suck!

    This was in 1997; We were living in Northern California at the time...

    My mom was on the PTA and she was working after hours at my school, so I got to go on the playground; There was this black kid who was about 7 or 8 years old, and he kept picking on me. I don't even think he went to my school, because I'd never seen him before and the playground was more or less open to the public after school hours and on weekends, but before dark. I had a cheap Beanie Baby knockoff (a stuffed dog) with me, and this little bastard kept chasing me around and calling me "Wiener Dog". I would try to ignore him, then get mad and try to hit him, and he would take off like the coward he was (I was bigger than him, but also slower). He would disappear and then come back; Eventually, he disappeared for a while. I was minding my own business, wandering around the playground, and all of a sudden this little bastard came up behind me, swung a bag of DOG SHIT, and hit me in the face with it!

    TOTALLY UNPROVOKED!

    I tried to grab him and give him the beating he deserved, but again the little coward took off and was too fast for me. I ran into the PTA office to tell my mom, and I actually think she might have been angrier than me. Unfortunately, the little twerp was gone, and there wasn't much else we could do about it. I never saw the kid again, and he's very lucky I didn't catch him because I would have curb-stomped him without a second thought! Another thing I'd like to know is where he got the bag of dog shit, because he didn't have a dog with him; The disgusting little bastard probably pulled it out of a nearby garbage can, which is even more disturbing than the fact he hit me in the face with it!

    Wow that is absolutely horrible, too bad you didn't catch him. I saw a video of kids about that age where one kept poking and prodding at the other for a long period of time and he just wanted to be left alone. The kid finally couldn't stand it so he picked the pain in the ass kid up and body slammed him on the concrete, he left him alone after that, lol.

    I've been suspended from school twice for "assaulting" kids, once in school and once out of school...

    Both were the result of a kid continuously picking on me, and me losing my temper as a result.

    @PennSilverTaco Have you decided what to do about the wheels on your truck?

    Sounds good. I sold the original wheels from the Mustang 12 or 13 years ago.

    Normally, the air-conditioners on display at Home Depot and Lowe’s are just mockups with no compressor or condenser inside, and a strategically placed fan to make the condenser fan move.

    This Lennox central A/C that I saw at Home Depot yesterday is different; It is a complete unit with compressor, condenser, and all “guts”...

    Lennox makes good HVAC equipment in my opinion, but just about everything except their cheapest builder grade equipment is priced into the stratosphere, and even their basic “Merit Series” stuff isn’t the cheapest on market! The unit I saw at Home Depot yesterday (pictured above) is a mid-level Elite Series. On a side note, it would seem that all air-conditioners and heat pumps below 17 SEER have been deemed too inefficient to install in certain area of the country by federal guidelines! This includes all but one of the four Merit Series central air-conditioner models!

    The top-of-the-line Dave Lennox Signature Series XC25 air-conditioner is 26 SEER, while the cheapest Merit Series unit is 13 SEER. The Signature Series and Elite Series can be easily identified by their distinctive wedge shape, while the Merit Series looks more like a typical air-conditioner.

    Go with central or a ductless mini-split! The second one is probably the better option for your house...

    And I'm guessing you have oil heat? With a big old boiler and radiators throughout the house?
