Nothing just watching clouds blow by and fog clear up. What’s new with you?

A little something every chance we get.
Good Morning SATX! Fog is lifting, almost an inch of actual wet rain yesterday. I'll fight with the internet one more day, but not with computer! Alignment, and some project touch up! Wife's going to take me out for dinner!

Good deal, ill go take a look at those! I agree completely, i love my URD lightweight flywheel (steel) but Fidanza makes one for the 1GR as well that's aluminum. Has replaceable steel friction material so you dont have to get your flywheel turned, but its expensive. Hmmm.. if you're gonna go forced induction, id probably go with the stage 2 for better offroad manners for when you might need to slip it a little. You gonna do the TRD/maggy blower or a rotrex?? since you're going forced induction, probably wouldnt need to regear if you didnt want to, but might still be a good idea depending on the tire size you want to run. What are your Mpgs like? i've been averaging around 13-14 in my 4cylinder, it's sad haha, but it finally gets out of it's own way. You should check out the HPtuners MPVI2 thread on here in the second gen section. That would be a great way to make things peppier before going forced induction, and would also allow you to get an awesome custome tune after you do pull the trigger on a blower. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/#post-20190631

Convincing me more and more to go with the camper. Leaning towards ARE. If I get it then i'm for sure going to do the HD DAKAR springs though. I agree that a little wait would help with some traction in the rain out here.

Its really nice to have more space to lock stuff up. Ive been hurting without a place to put my tools. Access cab is just too small. Definitely helps some with traction when its wet. You gonna buy a new one? Im running a progressive 3leaf AAL and it seems to be working good but if youre adding more weight then the dakars will probably serve you well

yea I'll probably buy new just so I can select the windows I want for overlanding. All of this is pure hopes and dreams though because ya know... wife and kids and jobs and such. I have my excel spreadsheets with items and prices. We'll see if I ever get to start checking those things off though.

    Happy birthday, Kurt!

    Morning, gents

I’m thinking the stage 2 will be better all around. Crawl box tho, no more slippy clutchy off-road ... well, it’s dramatically reduced to almost never lol

I like the Magnuson’s but I’m open to suggestion.

I’d still like to step up a few ring sizes to help compensate for the larger tires, made a world of difference in my XJ. The 98 XJ gets 19/21, the Taco gets 13/14, pretty abysmal. I realize with the cash I’m throwing at it I’ll never recuperate the cost but, dammit, 200 miles on a tank is hot, soggy garbage. I want to get back to 300+. Thanks for the link, I’ve got it saved and I’ll dive in when I get closer
