Does anyone have additional insight into this "program?" I have a '17 Super White (040), but did not receive a letter from Toyota as of yet, so I'm wondering if this covers specific VIN ranges or build locations. Details are scant.

The details are so scant that we have no idea what you are talking about.

White trucks have an issue with paint peeling off, especially around doors. Do not know the final outcome from Toyota

I'm going through the motions with this. It's happening but Toyota isn't being exactly honest about it. Right now I'm 1/4 of the way there but it's gonna take a few more months is my guess.

I had a paint issue at 22k miles...The dealer originally told me no it wasn’t covered under warranty...so I contacted Toyota’s agent for service of process in Plano Texas they had the regional rep come out and look at it at the dealership it was repaired under warranty 10 days later no questions asked.

I applaud Toyota for taking care of that one customer, let's not turn this into my truck has rust after 5 years after driving in salt all winter, must be warranty. That said, rust can occur for number reason so how you determine failure on toyota's part and adverse conditions.:confused::confused:

It’s not rust it’s crappy paint peeling off or fading after 2-3 years.

Well not going to fight you on this one without pictures. But this could be a hard fight unless this is happening in mass amount of trucks and complaints. Paint can be something hard to prove it was not neglect or adverse conditions your vehicle was in is all I'm saying. It sucks but might be less stressful to just get it fix on your own or use your auto insurance.
