Double check air pressure when you get it. It's usually set low, I put mine to 275.

That's what I have heard. Air pressure adjustments are no biggie though.

I do something similar to abacall to clear the rear shock and frame. I also like the clean look of heat shrinking cables so that’s usually what I do up front. Sure a little more time consuming but worth it to me.

Nice! I love mine. Never thought I’d need a 180mm dropper but I love it. Regreasing it is super easy too

Transition frames have a really low standover, so it uses a 170 reverb. Oneup offers a 180 in the same overall length, so you get rid of the reverb AND gain 10mm more down travel, all in the same package.

I really like the idea of the AXS dropper. No cables to deal with easy to take in and out - but its still a Reverb. Eventually id like to swap out the post on the Stumpjumper.

Exactly! Between the length and the price I don’t think it’s a tough choice to go oneup. The lever is eh but not enough to bother me

At least on cable actuated droppers, you can use basically any remote.

The reverb I just picked up from @abacall seems to go up and down just fine :notsure: Time will tell if I develop the seemingly widespread disdain for the reverb, but for now I'm ok with the purchase. Admittedly I only have one 20min ride on it so far.
The plus side is I can now set my post to the correct height for me.

The reverb is a fine post. There is a lot of hatred, but seems like everyone hates everything these days. My pet peeve with it is if you crash, you can break the remote barb and then you're up a creek the rest of the ride with a stuck post in whatever position it was. Plus mine is brand new and has about 3-5mm of play up/down in it and it clunks when I sit on it. New posts shouldn't do that.

Upside is if anyone wants to buy it, they get a warrantiable post for dirt cheap.

Haha true. Its too easy just to hop on the hate train. I'm still new to the dropper scene (I know, gasp ), but I just assumed they all made some noise and had a little play. 3-5mm is definitely a bit much, but this reverb I just put on and the KS it replaced both have a little up/down movement when I sit on them. Which is definitely annoying. I just assumed that was the norm.

    not enough.
Yeah, I have an SDG Tellis dropper that came stock on my bike. but I hated the remote so I switched to PNW Components. SO much better in terms of feel and actuation. no more play in the lever and it just looks much better.

I just got my oneup installed last week and finally got to ride it this past weekend, I went with the 210mm and a wolftooth remote and its honestly a game changer.

Here is how I tidy up my cables. A bonus is that AXS is way easier to setup and fine tune than cable RD's (and I'm a certified bike wrench!).

I was planning to try and hold off getting a new bike until I had a chance to demo the new Tallboy this spring, and maybe a few other new 2020 offerings. But I've run across a relatively clean '19 Smuggler at a reasonable price. I really enjoyed that bike when I demoed it early this year. Hmmmm.....

You can debate all you want, but a smokin bike deal will excuse a lot of the finer points between models (for me anyways)

The thing about the reverb is the eventual mushyness it will develop that cant be remedied by a bleed. I had one on my Kona that developed like an inch of travel, was a bummer. I miss the Kona sometimes.

My reverb (which was new in August or September) has a little play - I'd say 1-2mm of play up/down in it and the clunk when you sit on it. My wife's bike has a Giant Contact and my fat bike has a Brand X, both of which have no play and no noises. I'm probably not ready to spend the money to replace the reverb at this point, but I'll see if the amount of play increases over time.

Touché. ‘Smokin deal’ is definitely a stretch on this one. It’s a temptation because - a) I found it to be a super fun bike when I demoed it; b) it’s a way cheaper option to change things up vs going to the $3k+ Tallboy frame
