They don't count if they are the same size as the stock ones.

Yeah, I thought with all the shell swaps, he was interested in UPgrades, not DOWNgrages...

Not gonna lie I didn't like third gens at all but after driving them and how the CPO's come with 7k/100k warranty...I won't argue too much. I dont think I'll ever feel as at home as I did in my second gen but driving something with 180,000 less miles will be nice for a change.

The only thing the 3rd gen has going for itself is an upgraded modern interior.

Mechanical and electrical wise its an downgrade over the 2nd gen.

Expand your search area. I got my 2015 Tacoma with 17k miles, Toyota CPO 100k warranty, for I believe 29k before taxes 2 years ago. I flew to Utah and drove it back. Mint condition, California car also. Owner relocated and traded it in.

Same truck in California was selling for 33k at the dealer. Do not buy in California, prices here are over inflated. My previous 2002 4x4 trd Tacoma I bought from Lake Havasu Toyota saved a few thousand there as well. 5 years later I sold the truck for the same amount that I bought it for in AZ in because California used car prices here are ridiculous.

Utah isn't far behind you inflation wise on Toyotas but SoCal is insane.

I was looking for a low mileage 2015 Tacoma 4x4 trd off road etc. I looked for a few months so I knew the prices pretty well in California.

A 2015 trd 4x4 tacoma popped up in a San Diego Acura Dealer. They wanted $33k. No warranty. Did not really want to negotiate either.

Karl Malone Toyota in Salt Lake City was selling a very low mileage Tacoma I was looking for. Bought a $160 one way plane ticket and saved $4,000 plus I got the cpo Toyota warranty. I never knew Karl Malone even owned a Toyota Dealer until I bought my Tacoma from there. lol.

California is only good to buy new cars from because you can use other dealers quotes against each other. Used cars its difficult to negotiate in California.

Like all of our car dealerships around here are owned by former basketball players. Must be some sort of tax shelter or something.
