They’re welded to the axle housing?

It came out of a 2wd tacoma and mine is 4wd. the 2wd models have the perches on the bottom, vs 4wd on top. so plan is to cut the old ones off the bottom, weld some new ones to the top, and then mount it.

Will the 6 lug axles fit in the 5 lug housing, or are you gonna run 6 lug wheels on the front and 5 lug wheels on the back?

Isn't that the 2wd 5 lug? Don't the prerunners have the same axle mount at the 4wd?

    If I'm wrong, apologies.

If I'm right, do you really want a 5 lug diff in your truck?

More than likely you’re gonna have to cut some off of a housing or order aftermarket perches and weld them on. Make sure your geometry is up to date and you weld them on in the right spot and correct angles.

yeah I'm with you on all that. I am trying to order perches right now, that's why I started the thread asking if anyone knows the correct size to get. Doesn't hurt to ask I figured.

Might be easier to get some 1/4” steel plate and fab some up.

So basically this is how its going to happen. My third member, axle shafts, hubs, all the guts to sum it up, are coming out. all I'm using the 2wd one for, is the housing, nothing on it, or in it, put all my parts and pieces together, in the housing, and done. hope that helps to understand. sorry if it was kind of confusing.

Summit and Jegs sell universal spring perches. You just need to know the diameter of the axle tube and the width of the leaf springs. Make sure you check the diameter of the hole for the spring center bolt.
