I've been wearing Kamik boots for years with great result. I have a 11" soft toe and a 17" composite toe. They're like a slip on muck boot style but made in 'merica. My 11" pair have been through hell and back and still look new if I hose them off and hit em with some scrub brush action.

On the boat I wear Rugged Shark boots. They wear more like a shoe, but waterproof.

Good boots are definitely important.

 

Kamik boots are top o' the line.

Well, I've never had muck boots and it seemed like a good idea with the off-road environment not always being dry. I wanted something I can easily slip on and off to keep the inside of the truck as clean as possible. I don't need mud to be messy. Add mud though and you'll think a 4 year old and a puppy were playing in there. I had a hard time finding a pair that fit though because my calves are larger than most. I have very wide feet too. I paid a lot for the first pair, and they are great. Then I found the cheaper ones but it was too late to return the first pair. I will keep the good pair in the truck and leave the other pair in the garage at home when I do yard work and the grass is wet or need to do anything in the rain at home.

I was thinking it was the walk from Target to Bed Bath and Beyond .

 

Or a walk from Bass Pro Shop to the food court.

 

I'm thinking that since @RobP62 has a snorkel and those nice waterproof boots we should take him to that spot I know and cross the Potomac river.
