Just finished up the dash light mod for my truck and the a/c panels as well. I went with blue since it matched my headunit, but I just wanted to see what everyone else had too.

Sorry that the R doesn't show up too well. My camera doesn't like dark photos with inside lights...

PLEASE POST PICS AS WELL AS VOTING!

ESPECIALLY THE GREEN!! I would love to see those!

    4 - 194's for the dash lights.
    3 - 74's for the A/C Panel
    1 - 74 for the Shifter
1 - 74 Shifter for the Glove Box

I bought the 194 bulbs with the 5 leds (one coming straight out, and the other 4 pointing in other directions) which gave it a more even lighting look than the one led bulbs I had before.

The A/C panel is probably the hardest to do. You have to take out the whole white panel, and then remove the back, then remove the housings for the stock bulbs, and then place the LED's in, and cut the wire and then re-install.

no problem man. I actually got them from this guy on ebay:

    194's: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...item=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_2658wt_1165
74's White (my glove box): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...item=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_2596wt_1165
    74's Blue: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...item=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_2596wt_1165

real cheap lights, and are already housed. you just plug them into where the stocks were. except for the A/C Panel like i said earlier. Takes that guy about 1 week to get the bulbs to you.

Thanks. I really appreciate it. It took a while though to get everything the way I wanted. Especially considering I had a few blown fuse issues. A blown dimmer switch and some other issues. All because of a short in between my gauge fuse and my tail light fuse. The gauge lights run off of the tail light fuse.

    yes sir.
just make sure that you check them while you are installing. quite frequently (because LED's are polar) I had to turn the bulbs 180 so they would light up.

if i ever modify my dash lamps it will be to make them all red for less infringement on my night vision but the stock seems to serve the purpose well enough.

Does anyone know how to change the color of the clock after you change to LEDs?

I wanna do this, i think that amber clock would stand out with blue dash lights. haha.

How hard is it to replace the lights in the dash. Do you have to take the dash out?

It's really not that complicated to do. I'm extremely new at this and I can disassemble within 10-15 minutes?
But yes, you do have to disassemble the dash.
