I installed the skyjacker AAL that was supposed to be a 2 inch lift but on the leaf itself it had a print "taco 1.5"
After install I tried to see if the brake line would strain under axle flex. It didn't seem like there was any pulling on it so I left the fasteners in place that hold the brake line. Other AAL videos on YouTube seem to be a much smaller and U shaped spring that lifts the rear significantly. From what I can tell the skyjacker really just brings the Tacoma rear back to original height. I should mention I have a snugtop hiliner sport on the back. I'm curious if I should cut off the fasteners just in case? I don't do a lot of off roading, but occasional forest forest roads. Any seasoned advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

It’s probably 2” with the overload leaf installed.

What fasteners are you talking about? Got a picture?

Also try flexing diagonally (one wheel up, one wheel at full droop).

It's this little guide that keeps the brake line from rubbing on the leaf pack. When I had the axle back on I flexed one side on the lift a bit but it started to lift that side of the frame and I stopped immediately. I think it will be ok, but just wanted to know if anyone else with the skyjacker AAL kept it with no issue or cut it off.

    Thanks!

That's not the brake line. That's the parking brake cable. The limiting factor on droop is when the shocks extend to full extension. Putting in an add a leaf does not effect the amount of droop. You're fine.
