    Hello TacomaWorld!

I am a first time Tacoma owner. Although, I have owner an 88 Landcruiser, 97 Camry, and 11 Camry. I bought a 2009 SR5 4x4 4.0 V6 with the 5 Speed auto just over a year ago. I've been looking through these posts for awhile and it seems like each owner has their own valid opinion and preference about what they think works best with these pretty good trucks.

I'm not looking to mod it in the sense of lifts, loud exhausts, or anything flashy. I like the current height and performance. Since I live on top of a mountain in the middle of Vermont, I'm mostly curious as to what would be the best replacement for when things rust (wheels, suspension, exhaust, etc). It had the frame replaced just before I purchased it.

What would be best for replacing these components as they need replacement? TRD or the other aftermarket companies? What is the best quality without raising the height or increasing the noise level?

X2 on OEM - one exception would be shocks, can’t go wrong with 5100’s for the price.

x3 on OEM.... and if you're not lifting it, consider 4600 shocks.

I haven't done much comparison, but so far it looks like RockAuto has decent prices.

Not saying they are lowest, just the best I've seen so far. About $310 shipped to me, minus the current 5% discount.

I replaced the shocks on my '05 TRD offroad with the Bilstein 6112's when they needed replacing and have been very satisfied. Better than the stock shocks for sure.
