To wrap up my story. The PCS stopped functioning after I had the recall done. I brought the truck back to the dealer and the shop foreman went for a ride with me. He connected his laptop to the port and we drove around trying to get the PCS to activate. He said he didn't see any problems and he wishes Toyota would get rid of this system. On the way home the PCS worked. My guess is that when they did the software update, they somehow deactivated the PCS and the foremen reactivated it or reset some parameter when we did the test drive.

You can drive slowly straight towards that wall and it will not do anything but hit the fucker. It only works at speed.

It does sound like OP is talking about the parking sensors. On another note we got snow a couple weeks and my sensor was covered so i got the message on the dash. Cleared off the sensor and away i went. Now i've noticed that i get the "your gonna hit someone beep" and the "brake' alert alot more than before. Either that or i'm braking too late. :notsure:

I hate that system. Been having issues since I bought the truck and now Toyota will not even touch it because I lifted the truck 2.5in
If theres a class action lawsuit Im in.

So you lift a truck that has integrated safety features. In other words, you took the truck out of its originally designed state.

Then you want to sue Toyota because Toyota won't touch the PCS. But they only refuse to touch it because they don't want you suing them if the safety features don't work properly once calibrated outside of their originally designed state.
    Your logic...:boom:

Can't say i've had issues with it. It stopped me twice. Once leaving my work parking lot and once on the highway. Not quite stop but slowed me down enough for me to also hit my brakes. This was with my truck at stock height. After this recent snow event when i wiped off the sensor i've noticed a few times warning me to brake which it rarely ever did. I now have a 2.5 inch lift on my truck as well.

From what this guy is saying, they will now warranty the PCS issue if you lift it but not with a aftermarket grill.

I am having the same problem with my 2019 Tacoma. Grill was removed for paint job, cameras recalibrate and PCS is not working at all even though set on high. Toyota corporate and Toyota dealership said if no error codes then it is working even though I have had the system go off multiple times before the body work and now it does not work at all. Have no way of proving problem except to run the truck into the side of their building and record that the PCS never engaged.

If radar cruise and lane departure alert work, then PCS most likely works. Try that out for a test before you start crashing into walls...
