I’ll take SEC East titles every year over, ya know, not even having a chance to win the SEC. Gotta win the division before you can win the conference.

 

At least Mullen made it to the national championship in his second ye....wait...no...that was Kirby.

Congrats on Kirby having success with the East during a extremely weak period. Did he have to go thru an established top 5 program to start his tenure...oh he went thru a 9-4 USCe and a 7-5 UK to win his first SEC east, how did he do it?!?! Mullen took a 4-8 team to a NY6 bowl in year 1 and took a 2* qb who hasn't started in 7 years to a NY6 bowl I'm pretty damn happy with what we've got so far.

I think you’re misunderstanding me. This isn’t my opinion. This is what Clemson went through last year and it will be worse next year with their schedule. They do control their schedule to an extent, but I’m not saying I believe they don’t deserve it at 12-0. Hell I never thought they should have been booted from #1 this year till LSU clapped them. I was saying they’re going to have to blowout everyone to get recognition since they pretty much had to this last year it seemed.

According to the graphic above, it’s not like their schedule is off that much compared to schools that don’t get blasted for SoS.

 

Yup only 11 below lsu, of course I don't think @stronghammer is going to have to worry too much about their SOS playing a deciding role next year after all the attrition after the natty. And after that raise coach O got there will be a lot less in the coffers to attract the recruits.

 

We all know that’s a preseason sos. Wait till end of season or even partially through. This season was a perfect example of the sos changing as it goes. Y’all can not deny clemsons schedule next year is as soft as a usual UCF schedule lol.

LSU is gonna struggle with all the player and coach losses next year but it won’t hurt recruiting much. They’ve done just fine year after year recruiting.

 

It’s what we have now, and you can only go on what’s known. Every season is a perfect example of SoS changing, so I don’t really see the point. If Clemson’s SoS improves (..unlikely), then it doesn’t fit the argument. Same if LSU or someone else’s weakens.

Is it the 2020 season yet?

 

Because that sos is an opinion. Just as my comments. They both have equal weight in making a point.
