Nice, that sounds like a good gig! Just gotta push through and make sure the long hours don't effect your work quality. I start making mistakes after the 13th hour lol, I really have to pay close attention. If you make a mistake do people's power get turned off? or are yall just generating it and sending it out to the grid?

Nah we just send it out to the grid, but human mistakes are frowned upon especially during the summer or whenever power consumption is at its highest

 

Ahhh that makes sense! My pops was a master electrician for 30 years and he told me when he used to make a mistake, he'd knock the power out in part of Houston, and it was a bad deal. Sounds like your gig is a little less stressful haha. Reminds me of this bit from top gear

Yeah it's not too stressful, there is only so much one can do especially if it's an equipment malfunction. Crazy how some of the guys I work with get stressed out on something they have no control over
I get paid well, but not well enough to stress over somethings
