I do too. I'm pretty sure SKF even though it still has a good name and so does timken are both Chinese now. nachi and koyo historically and from what I've seen recently at work are Japanese. Nachi bearings are held to such good tolerances that we can actually use them to tram in the Mills

Also, kind neat, these Napa branded LED sealed beam replacements have the good divided style element and a classic diffuser grid front lens. I think I'm gonna try them next bag sale.

That’s my dads shop. I’ve spent a lot of time out there growing up. Probably one of my favorite places to be

We just use the cheapo brands at my work. Machine operators cant be bothered to keep them greased so why bother paying extra if were just gonna replace them again in what seems like regular intervals.

If you do your research and catch the sales, Napa branded stuff is a real bang for the buck. Most everything is made by top tier name brands.

No, cruiser has flush style light housings like modern cars. Just change a bulb. The taco has sealed beams. I've had LEDs in the past that were good. So I figure I'll try another type

Biggest issue with leds is the snow building up on them.

We have so many machines and only one dedicated millwright. So it's a mortal sin to not hit your one shot oiler on the bridgeports (as well as fill the upper cups) before beginning to use it, regardless of if another just used it. And we all carry oil cans and grease guns to grease Chuck's on CNCs and to grease the ways and turrets on the manual machines. When a single bearing goes in our machines we replace every one that has to come out to get to the one thats a problem. The millwright was working this whole week to replace everything that has to come out to get to the clutch packs on one of our horizontal boring mills. Huge machine, I was amazed he did it all including making some parts himself in one week.

Vertical mill and 3 flute 1/2 endmill. Have that thing smoother than stock in a few mins.
