I like the look of those pin jack stands. The notched kind work and have worked for me..............but I don't trust them.

 

Our products are globally sourced honestly.
China, Japan, US, India, Taiwan

only one or two still make heavy iron for hydraulics here in the states and most wont pay that price. Ratchet stands have been around for plenty of years.
It’s honestly all how they are produced.
We sell all the large tire chains across the US so we know the quality of ours

 

Now is this better than the harbor freight Daytona jacks?

 

With ratchet stands I never depend on just one..........look how much metal stands between life and squashed bug.

 

wht most people don’t realize is the fact the HF jacks are actually nice. The Daytona jacks have some awesome technology built into them. The reason they can sell so inexpensive is volume. they are the largest purchaser of hydraulics in China.
Now having said that, some HF stuff is junk. What most people don’t like to hear is that their beloved Snappy, or Matco, or Mac all come out of the same factories.

Is my jack better, I would say yes, but it’s all internals than the HF units.

 

I’ve actually had to change my stance on HF tools. They have really improved in the last 10 years or so. Is there a lot of junk? Absolutely. The difference is SOME of their products are great buys.

For one, I really like their clamps. Is BESSEY more heavy duty? All day, but MOST things shouldn’t be clamped so hard that the clamp would flex. If I do need that kind of clamping force (building laminated bench top), well I have solid pipe clamps for that.

Wanted a new compressor. Had the 33 gallon Husky but have outgrown it and need more SCFM. Picked up the 60 gallon 3.7 HP with over twice the SCFM @ 90PSI (11.5 @90psi) and I’m excited to try it out! It’s much bigger haha!

 

Is that one 110? I’m assuming 220 though?

 

Nice. I’ve wanted one for years now. I just can’t justify it right now.

 

Yeah the new one is 220v

I’m pretty stoked. The 33 gallon 110v one has done a good job for the last few years but now that I’m running my tube bender and plasma table a lot more, I needed more output. It was $612 after taxes. Easy to justify knowing I’ll make it back really quickly.

 

I understand. It would be just another toy for me. I only need it for wood working and running an air grinder. My 33 gallon runs down quick with the air grinder.

 

Replaced my old hand me down bottom box today. I’ll replace the top box in a few weeks and add the locker and side box at a later date

 

I love this thread. I needed a workbench and wanted a new box so I got both as a Christmas present to myself.

 

That may be my new kitchen island

 

It's 63" wide. You can fit a lot of silverware in it.
