Hey OP... what year and model of truck are you talking about?? That might help..
I know that on my 2016 sport, I can change the speedo to Miles or KMS....... the MPG will use US or Imperial gallons to calculate the MPG's. I'm sure the Temp would be available also.....
Does your truck show speedo in Miles now..?
I was reading pg. 96 of my manual and it says I can change the units of measure for fuel consumption and temp. It tells you how to do it on pg 95....
If you have a different truck.... read the manual, I guess..

Yeah if you have the Canadian truck, the interior air will always be in C. I went to dealership and outside changing the ECU, if that even works, we will always have it. I just multiply by 2 and add 30. Its close enough to get in F (I know it's not the exact formula but it's close)

Man, you guys are complaining about nothing! When I was seven years old, my family moved to England for 6 months and I had to go to school there. Typical English school math word problem in 1964:
"Little Jimmy goes to the confectioner's and asks for two bob's worth of gobstoppers. He hands the confectioner half a crown. How many farthings will little Jimmy get in change?" And WTF is a gobstopper? And, getting back on Tacoma topics, what's the payload of a 3rd gen in cwt?

I enjoy setting the rental vehicles I drive in the US to metric, then leave it at that when the car is returned. (Just make sure you are on an unlimited mileage contract, otherwise they get the last laugh.)

This was a fun thread, haha.

As far as I am aware, the only way to change the climate control display from Celsius to Fahrenheit is to change the main body ECU.

    Not verified.

For speed measurements, I prefer Furlongs per fortnight.
    (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Haha! I don't think I've ever posted, but this thread cracks me up. I had a physics professor in college who thought it would be funny to put a question on the test that asked people to convert a number in Furlongs per Fortnight to Meters per Second. About half the class looked at it and knew it was a joke because they understood the wacky professor. The other half of the nerd herd couldn't relate to people, so didn't understand the professor, and didn't get that it was a joke. They freaked out, thought the question was unfair, protested loudly after the fact... Some even wasted a bunch of test time trying to figure it out--which is exactly what this thread seems to be doing.

More to the important issue of using Furlongs per Fortnight for a speedo, Furlongs per Fortnight are totally impractical. If your speedo is 0 to 140 mph or 0 to 220 kph. Your speedo in Furlongs per Fortnight would go from 0 to 376,320 fpf. So you're just being silly!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I just bought a Canadian Tacoma and would like to change the heater/ac temp gauge to Fahrenheit. Sounds like it is hard coded in the ECU or temp readout. I guess I'll just have to print up a label that says "multiply by 9, divide by 5, and add 32 to set your proper comfort level". I'm sure my wife will appreciate my thoughtfulness. Now that I think about it, the label idea is perfect. She's normally on the temp control like a monkey on a cupcake. This might just slow down the constant changes from hot to cold to hot to... By the time she gets the calculator out and decides what the temp should be, she'll want it a different temp and need to start over.
