'19 SR5 wheels on a Off-Road model??

Hey guys! Long time looker, first time poster.. Has anyone came across people putting the black SR5 wheels on another model? I know a lot of OR/Sport owners go up to the Pros but has anyone gone down a trim? Is that legal?

 

Why not? They're pretty decent looking wheels actually. Should fit 265's no problem

 

I put my 2nd gen steelies on my 3rd gen offroad for winter use. 245/75/16 are still on but I will bump up to 265 when they wear out.

 

I have them on my Sport.

 

I bought a pair of gray wheels like the white truck with the black SR wheels for my silver as well as a pair of TRD off-road for my 2018 Sport 4x4 went from 17 inch to 16 inch

 

How did you do this? Did you purchase them? I like that look.

I bought the wheels on eBay local purchase and found the TRD OR tires through a user here on TW for real cheap.

 

That's my thought. I've been looking around for wheel ideas and the SR5 just look good and simple. I'm not into the flashy looking wheels.

 

Damn they do look good.

 

I think they are a great looking wheel. Simple and look fairly easy to keep clean. Maybe someday I’ll find an SR5 owner who wants to trade. I think they are the exact same size as the OR wheel.

 

I'm running 2nd Gen alloys I picked up with Blizzaks mounted for my Winter tires. They're 245/75/16, and I too plan to bump up to 265 when they need replacing in another 1 to 2 Winters. Note: The 2nd Gen TPMS sensors don't register in the 3rd Gen system...so I have a "Winter good traction light."

 

I ran those as well for a bit since I had them leftover from my 2013. I sold the stock wheels when I bought the truck in 2012 with the factory tires for $860. I then bought a set of takeoffs for $125 for my snow tires after I didn't like the wheels that came with my snow tire package. I sold the snow tire package wheels for $450 so after mounting costs I still net nearly $200.

Since I get bored with wheels and tires I went to 2G steel wheels I picked up for $100 after selling the 2G alloys for $400 netting me another $200 after mounting costs.

I figure next year I'll mount up my silver FJ Cruiser wheels for yet another iteration.
