If you plan on using those skids I would take Leonard up on his offer.
You will need to pull them skids at least once a yr for maintainice. Re paint, lube u joints, change diff and transfer fluids, ect...
As for gas tank skid. If yours is a non off road vrs. Then off road tank straps with bolts may need to be installed. It is not hard and tank does not need to be dropped. Just supported with a jack. I did mine , super easy. Recommend on a near empty tank to keep weight down but not necessarily needed.
Shit I would do the install for half what they quoted in the rain outside with hand tools..
    Lol
Dont get burned for skid plate install.

Update: I can definitely recommend MC Motorsports. They did an excellent job installing the skid plates and roof rack.

According to them, the skid plates were manufactured perfectly. The rack took some time because there are so many hardware bits. But they did a great job and for half the price I was quoted elsewhere.

I really appreciate forum member offers to help out. You guys are quite a group.

Where can I get the truck weighed around here? I need a weight cert for CA registration. Apparently all pickups are commercial by the DMV in silly CA.

Heard that like feed or farm shops might be the cheapest way? I'm in Rocklin.

If all you need is a printed copy of wieght, can go to the 49er truck stop.
    W. El Camino and I80. There certify scales.
They will ask for a truck #. You could probably have vin entered or plate #

Truck stops like I listed are all CAT cert scales.

Never tried there diner. Probably it being local. Usually hit the TA or Petrols iron skillet, most are pretty good on there food being trying to please a bunch of fat lazy truck drivers like myself.
