    The lights are a little snug. They call for a range of fitment so we went on the snug side for the 2nd gen. However, that's not the issue. Seems like it may be the older access cabs are even a hair smaller than that. Let us know if you get it to work and stay in.

    No, it was maybe on for half a minute and I turned it off before popping it back out to adjust. I know regular bulbs tend to get hot but i just want to make sure it’s not shorting.

    Aside from the dome light fitment issues mentioned, had no issues getting them installed and happy with the brightness.

    I did want to point out the install orientation for my map lights was different than the instructions in the original post. Both positive sides had to be pointed towards my driver's side door, and both negatives were pointed towards the passenger's door.
