My 2002 V6 prerunner tends to hesitate on minor inclines. This condition occurs when the engine is warm and the throttle position is steady and I am on slight incline at about 55 MPH. It is intermittent and only does this when going up a slight incline. Plenty of fuel in the tank and no heavy loads in the bed. Any one experience any thing similar?

tuned up about 2400 miles ago. Stock tires and yes it is a automatic. The RPM remain steady and it is not trying to down shift.

i had something similar on my 96. ended up being a set of bad wires not giving enough juice to the plugs. my mechanic, who knew I did my own wrenching, took one listen to it, moved the throttle wire in the bay and said yup, bad wires. just something to think about.
