    Early model Priui had a very short battery life and the engine actually powered the car as the battery ran down. I heard one go by not too long ago minus something and it was loud AF-I didn't get supercar but Harley wannabe. :D

Yeah a battery and then what gas with battery and when battery goes bad and there's no way to fix or renew that old battery it gets shipped to a desert and piked underground. When gas burns all gone there's a few little carbon particles to drop to earth.
