I got the same HU, have you guys hooked up a third camera? I have the dash cam, the rear back up and also installed a front facing camera for when I'm off roading, when I leave it marked as a front camera my HU randomly switches to it without me telling it to, when I turn off that feature or when I mark it as a side camera it doesn't do that, also mine randomly resets itself, but I think it's due to ios13. It doesn't do it often but does do it. Otherwise I'm with you and it's an awesome HU. Thanks in advance.

Is it when you’re going slow? My understanding is it will switch to front camera when you’re going like 2-3 MPH.

No, it's random while I'm cruising on the freeway or streets. The thing is that it shouldn't engage unless I activate it.

Question for all my Kenwood DMX-906s Bawwss
Have yall tried to hookup and mirror the iPhone to the kenwood unit for mirroring video on the screen using the hdmi to lightning cable and an isimple cable into the video inputs or aux input ? I’d love to be able to do this and these guys talk about how u can get that done on units without an hdmi port. Would love to hear success stories and installs/pics! Help me become even more convinced this is the ultimate head unit !

I'm running the DDX9905S and it also randomly restarts, I'm hearing it's a know problem. I was worried I screwed up my wiring..
Try this for your front camera if you haven't got it figured out already.

Hey guys. Question on this deck. Mine is arriving today, so install time tonight! Anyways, the GPS antenna, can it be mounted under the dash, or do I have to get it near glass, as high as possible? I’ve only ever had single DIN units before, so GPS is new to me.

    Thanks.

You can return your bypass. You don’t need it. Just ground the light green parking brake wire

the camera is working for shifting into reverse and will momentarily turn on with the camera button on the hu but won’t stay on or won’t turn on while driving. Seems like it’s either in a timer or either once I’m over about 25-30 mph it cuts out. I would like to have it on anytime I want but really do t want to pull the hu out again. It’s a pita to get it all tucked in with the Maestro without the clips on the bezel popping out. Got it all nicely in place now and hate to start over. No to mention the clips keep pulling off when I remove it and fall down inside the dash and I don’t have anymore after stealing the factory ones off the oem hu.

Yeah getting all the wires tucked in there is no fun. Have you gone through the rear camera settings in the Maestro?

I did and even though I have turned off the camera delay it still comes on, I think it's a software issue, gonna wait for kenwood to come out with another firmware and hopefully fix it. But don't get me wrong I absolutely love this radio, the resolution alone is worth it to me.

Yes all you have to do is ground it, kenwood does not do pulse coding so as long as it is grounded your good to go, the easiest way is to get the ground wire out a o ring terminal and screw it to a existing bolt on the radio itself.

Respect! Now I gotta figure out how I can stream stuff to it from my ipad. I asked somewhere else, but I know the androids can mirror to the unit but if I use the aux in or the isimple and lightning to hdmi cable was wondering if I could do it

I wish I can help you on that but I have not tried to mirror since I have an iPhone.
