why do you have an inch figure for a target? why do you want that? it makes no sense, its arbitrary, and by lifting your truck you have entered the realm of objective reality.
    -"i want xxx inches"
    -"I want xxx inch lift"
What you need a correctly aligned truck that utilized the correct suspension stroke at whatever ride-height number it comes out to, that fits the parts you have. You need to have a sheet of literal, exact numbers of everything you have.
    -tire size
    -wheel size, offset
    -suspension
    -spring&rate
and then it needs to be aligned correctly so that it utilized the shock right, and doesnt bind up your entire drive line while doing it.

whatever number the "right-way" comes out to is what you want. but arbitrarily choosing "23's" is what got you here.

My understanding is lifting up 2 inches is the cutoff point before you have to make drastic changes to the truck.... this is why I'm targeting 23 inches. ???

Are you going for looks of a perfectly level truck, or function?

Rake (the slight nose down angle) is good. It helps stopping easier and helps even out a load better.

Do you want some rake or no rake?

that said, the parts YOU have may not reach that number, yet they still may have a configuration that works well, without needlessly wearing out the most important parts of your truck.

trying to hit a MAX figure with a budget-tier lift is foolish in a game of $5k coilover kits.

+1 on the rake. Level only looks good when you're hauling shit. If someone can have a fully loaded bed and still be level I give them my respect.

If the truck can handle 23 inches without major mods why not use that as a target height??

Exactly why I went with 1.5” of lift up front. The very next day after putting the Icon RXT leaf pack (on option 2) on my truck, I drove up North, filled the bed with firewood until the bumpstops hit the frame and it sat level. Thought it rode great for 900lbs if wood in the back, but likely won’t be doing that often. ...Was a good break in for the leafs though lol

because YOUR particular equipment cant logically reach that figure.

LOL there's just a simple objective reality here you MUST accept. all shocks are not created equal.

Because at 2” you WILL need the ECGS bushing and likely shims with different leafs and it would be a lot better for alignment purposes with new UCAs

I will probably do ECGS and UCA but I'm out of money right now. Can u elaborate on shims and other leafs?

ideally, having UCA's circumvents the need for this by having everything correctly aligned, but this is still something to keep in mind. Basically, if you lift your truck , should have new UCA's that allow for high caster.

    Well,
When I added a Dakar leaf pack (+2.25”) in the rear, I found the driveline angles sucked so I added 2.5 degree shims. Then after driving it for a year I still had about 0.9 degrees of driveline angle out of spec, so I bought the 3-degree Toytec shims and have been happy ever since even after switching over to the Icon leaf pack. The ECGS is a must to do first so you don’t go chasing vibrations like i did. Trust me, that sucked bad and was a huge waste of time and money

and you can avoid the entire ECGS/CV debacle simply by having high-caster UCA's that allow your front end to be aligned that prevents vibrations in the first place, and not lifting your truck to the max setting.

    lol your choice Orange_black
