Buy the one your gut tells you to. You won't be disappointed either way. This is a zero sum game.

I was in the same predicament when I bought my truck September 2018.. I could get $1k off MSRP for a Pro, but was able to get my OR with tech package for $33k and some change.. Sticker was a little over $38k. Pro was about $45k. I told myself that I wasn't going to touch the truck, but here we are a little over a year later and I'm on King coilovers, Icon leaf pack, JBA UCAS, SCS F5 wheels with 285's, and a bunch of other little things here and there, bed rack, RTT, OV Tune, etc.. I am still under what I would have paid for for a new Pro, and i smile ear to ear when I look at it.. I probably would have done the same to the Pro, but it just didn't make sense to me to remove the Pro suspension.. I do miss heated seats, but I'd rather have cloth now that I do have it, and they're not freezing cold in the winter, or super hot in the summer. I love my truck and don't plan on it going anywhere
Edit: When I see a Pro, I am not the least bit jealous.. I am a huge fan of Quicksand, and love it more and more each day.

Ditto. If Quicksand was offered on the Pro I would have ordered one.

    working on it!
    Was torn myself.

I like to mod and wrench, have done so much on my motorcycle, but really wanted to just enjoy the truck for a while before doing anything. I don't see myself wrenching on it much for a few years.

I decided to buy the Pro and am loving it.

The off-road has better versatility, the pro has better elegance.

Why better versatility? I’m new to Tacoma’s and have had a 2wd Sport since September...just curious. I feel like I got a Tacoma-lite. I still love it though...

For the price increase you would think a Pro would come with a front locker and a driver side grab handle. For that alone the Pro is not worth it. 2k in aftermarket suspension the OR is a better ride.

I got a pro I wanna put bigger tires so I’m putting on a eibach pro lift and I can sell the fox for 2 grand :) really not money lost, dude the OR was ticketed at the same price at my dealership,44 flat so I’d be stupid not to have gotten the pro .. everyone’s situations different bro, pro’s got real trd parts expensive and lot of us got different taste just saying

I like the pro a lot but I was going to add a new suspension kit and wanted different leather seats so off-road for me, plus found a manual off-road for a price it couldn’t pass up so was a no brainer. My vote is if price is close and you don’t plan major mods then pro, if not off-road. When I looked they wanted around 44k for a MT pro blue and the off-road inferno was 31.5 so off-road was happening

I would thin the Pro suspension would be better than the Eibach, no? Not being a jerk just curious..

Yeah but just for now I want to get that extra lift to stuff some 34’s ... it does sound stupid but it’ll give me more money when I rid the fox’s to get volk te37s and I’m gonna upgrade to king 2.5’s later on idk yet ...

Highway driving?? Pro? Off-road? You are looking for a 4x4 sport

My opinion, buy once, cry once.. Just wait for the Kings.. I was back and forth when I did my suspension and just decided to bite the bullet and do Kings. So glad I did.. Then sell your Fox's and re-coup some of the cost.

My Pro has been far more comfortable over the road than my Sport ever was. Maybe that's just an Oklahoma roads thing.
