Mine have a number on the top of the top hat.
But it doesn't match anything on that chart.

250-05080-017 is written on both of them and has no results in google.

My invoice and the sticker on the shipping box both have 250-T4006-A00 written on them. It's not on the coillover that I can tell.

May have gotten same product, just older product #. They have been updating their shocks with the internal topout spring (which I will be upgrading upon next rebuild). I bought mine in 2018

    Thanks @SpeySquatch

This sucks, I was planning on installing everything this weekend.

I certainly didn't want a coilover with less travel than stock.

I found it on an emailed invoice.

If you got the same thing, that would be the reason you are topping out your shocks so easily.

I would really be surprised if ADS made a shock with less stroke than a stock shock

Those guys do TONS of R&D...just seems weird

Me too, but my measurements match your chart.

I just cut off the dust boots from my oem toyota/bilstein shocks that are on the truck.

There is definitely more than 5" till the top of the shock body hits the top hat. I believe the 5.07" figure from the other thread I linked is spot on.

With the shock mounting point being half way from the ball joint to inner a-arm mount, that should be a 2-1 ratio as well as the shock being tilted slightly making that ratio larger. 2.1-1 maybe.

    .57x2.1=

1.2" less wheel travel than stock with the ads "extended travel" coilovers.

Is that top spring sweet or what? Karl was telling me it’s noticeably a better ride

I'll know soon enough. Almost done putting the front end back together and half way done with a the hammer hangers install. Silly angle grinder burnt up so hopefully it'll all be done tomorrow

    I’m jelly about the hangers.

What do you mean by top spring?

Is it an internal elastometer in the shock body to help out with topping/bottoming out?

It’s the top spring inside the shock for topout...I believe...from the way I understand. Not hydraulic like the Bilstein 8112’s but an actual spring

Man I can't wait! It's the first time I've done any work like this on a vehicle as well.

Is there anything internal to prevent over extension or will I need to get some limit straps?

Well shit. Definitely didn’t look for it when I installed them and my invoice has headstrong’s P/N. Headstrong seems very on top of their game so I’m guessing they shipped the right unit. I’ll start with measuring them and see what I’ve got. Hopefully will be able to do that tomorrow.
