    Hello,

Have 2011 4x and currently have the Fox 2.0 but they've blown a seal again. They are years old and have been rebuilt. Want to just replace at this point and not sure I want the same.

My truck has Deaver built Leafs along with Camburg UCA and CO.

Are the Bilstiens good or the Fox are still a good one to go with? Dont need Resevoirs or super expensive ones as the mojority is on road with Baja trips sprinkled in.

    thanks in advance

I’ve been running Fox 2.0 on the rear for almost 3 years and 98,000 miles and haven’t had any issues.

Ive had mine for about 5 years and lots of miles. Leaked once before, had rebuilt and was under the truck doing oil change yesterday and noticed it was spewing again.

I ran Icon VS 2.0 shocks for almost 7 years with no rebuild and no issues. A few wheeling trips each year interpersed with salty winters. Icon uses nitriding on the steel shaft instead of chrome plating, so it's resistant to stone chips and corrosion, and you can run them without a protective boot or "shin guard". Eibachs are inexpensive and allow for good droop travel:

I absolutely love my Icon 2.0s.
Dramatically improved the ride over stock.
Close to 80,000 miles on mine. No rebuilds.
They have held up much better than my front fox 2.5s.
Icon has way better corrosion resistance. Other than some scratches they still look brand new after a WD40 wipe down.
I can't say the same for my Fox's.

Fwiw, I've had a rear 5100 leak so bad I thought I was losing axle fluid. Replaced under warranty at no cost. I see some fluid around the shock boot again now. Seems like no shock is immune to failure.

One thing to check is the extended and collapsed lengths of the shock match your leaf pack. If your blowing seals that much maybe they are too short? Do you do alot of offloading (cycling the rear suspension)?

Mine could be from not being long enough for the height the Deaver springs created. In any event I think I am going to try the Icons...
