Rhode Island. We don't get much snow and the climate is genuinely warmer, only 90 minutes south of where I grew up in NH.

Thats not the main reason I bought the truck, don't worry.

24 hrs of Daytona is IMSA. They make turns both ways, and there's 4 classes of cars on track at once. IMSA>>>NASCAR.

 

Watching the pro bowl is kind of like watching "whose line is it anyway ".........it's where the rules are made up, people don't really try, and the points don't matter.

I've had strength in depth on this morning (CrossFit competition) while doing my taxes. Miscalculated my withholdings this year and it blows

 

Might try to get some new lights on the the truck, not sure if i’ll have time though...

Probably more crashes at the rotary, and the drivers can get out and throw down Masshole style!

 

I love the whole YOU'RE RETURN SHOULD BE ZERO YOU'RE GIVING THE GOVERNMENT AN INTEREST FREE LOAN school of thought. Not because it's wrong, but because people are so vocal about it.

Married couple with normal jobs, normal cars, own one single house we live in. Nothing complicated. Wife's a fitness instructor now so all of her stuff is w9 independent contractor, so that does throw a small wrench into things. We pay someone to do our taxes now. No software handles independent contractor for free anyway so if we're paying anyway, might as well just pay and have it all done. If she jumps ship and goes to a w2 then definitely we're just doing our own in the future.


Beautiful weather here in southern New England. Had the dog out in the trails this morning but ran into too many other dogs, were only out there for 40 minutes was hoping for closer to 90. But we got to play in the mud and she just got a hose down bath anyway. Gotta go to work soon weekend shift short straw. Hopefully I'll be out by 3.

 

Wrenching

 

Im in a similar situation with my job... I dont have a pension but I might have to start looking else where. They just keeping adding more and more stuff onto my plate with out more pay. Also the past 2 techs and the current one that report to me turned out to be bat shit crazy... Just can't seem to find normal people that just want to do their job with out drama.

 

5 years and jump ship. It can be within the same company but completely different roles, ideally different plants. Not usually an option, so jump ship it is. When you stay that long, you become "that guy" for things. Where I am now, I am "the tensile tester guy" because I used them where I used to work. Unrelated to my job write up, but I had experience, so I became "that guy", among other things. New place, wipes the slate clean. And exposes you to learning a bunch in new management methods, machines, materials, approaches, software, etc.

I also have zero reports, so that is a huge bonus

 

what are ya working on?

 

organizing and cleaning....the story of my fucking life.

 

started watching off and on with my older son last night. Gonna try to catch the finish.
