For my fast trak boxes here in SoCal i just mount them up higher above the mirror in the blacked out area and they work just fine and I can't see them from the outside and barely notice them on the inside.

It is an ez pass. It send a signal to the toll boths so that it is paid with a credit card and you don't have to stop. they have there own lanes.

Just paint it. I don't leave mine on my window, I just leave it in on the left side of the dash in the corner.

Pardon my ignorance since I have only seen one toll booth in my entire life, in Orlando. What happens if you don't have one of those little passes and drive through that lane? Do you pay for it every time you go through or a monthly fee?

The ones in SC put a $25.00 balance on your pass and then deduct from that each toll you pass thru...its tied to a credit card and replenishes the balance when you get below a certain amount

If you pass thru that lane without a pass, they take a picture of your plate and send you ticket...

They mail you a ticket with your a picture of your license plate in the mail. Mine didn't read once and I got a ticket a month later for the toll.

How much does it cost to drive through a toll? And you pay that just to drive down the interstate...?

Ours we link a plate to it and if by chance it fails to read it just goes on the bill as a normal charge and no big deal unless there are a lot of them. Then they figure your box is defective and send you a new one to switch out.

They actually sent you a ticket? A couple of times when mine didn't read they just charged my balance $5. Have to call and get it corrected. Made no sense to me because if they took a pic of my license plate and knew it was me to charge my balance, I don't see why they can't just charge the correct amount.

Well, here's the thing, I had the EZ Pass but it wasn't in the vehicle it was registered to so, in the eyes of the State of MA, I drove through an EZ Pass lane without paying the toll. I got a picture of my vehicle with a blow-up of the license plate and a ticket for the amount of the toll. I believe if I was in the correct vehicle I would have just been charged through EZ Pass. I thought the guy was asking what happens if you try to blow through a toll without paying.
