Got about $9,800 for my old black 97 base extracab 4 cyl 4wd, 182,000 miles, owned 11.5 years since bought new in fall 1996.

Got a new 08 black doublecab - 4 doors for my growing kids. Would have bought something used if not for the $1000 voucher and the low availability of used Tacomas around here.

I wish it was the size of my old truck and had none of the power windows, keyless entry, AC, etc. doo-dad crap but am happy to at least still have a manual transmission.

The M/T, 5 speed, V6, 4x4, TRD's are in extremely high demand. I looked long and hard for mine... I was amazed at how many A/T, Prerunners I found. In about a year I have had 2 people offer to take it off of my hands (one actually begged). I love it!
